*I am not German; none of the songs have German lyrics—or any singing, for that matter. I just thought giving the songs German names would be cool.
*Well, actually, the song Unendlich has some German in it, but it’s just a spoken vocal, so I don’t really classify it as lyrics. The spoken vocals are more of a mood and tone setter, I guess.
My musical role models
The unbelievable French duo that inspired me to start making music of my own.
Have you ever heard the song “Get Lucky”? (I’m guessing you have, unless you live under a rock.) Well, that was the creation of two French robots: Daft Punk.
Although it’s their most popular song, it is hardly the best song they ever produced. Trust me: as a dedicated fan, I’ve listened to every song they ever made, including demos and unfinished tracks. (If my music sounded like their demos or unfinished tracks, I’d be the most popular artist in the world.)
I could talk about them for hours, and they probably deserve a separate page on my website, but I don’t want to spoil what makes their music—and their entire story and history—so amazing.
I cannot recommend their albums enough if you haven’t already listened to them!
What kind of music am I actually making?
I’d say French touch? Maybe? I mean that’s what I’m aiming for.
Well yes, I am trying to create that French Touch sound, a song based on a loop, with surrounding elements coming in and out, that way the music doesn’t sound repetitive, even though the loop is the core element.
Although my mixes are indeed bad, I think you know what that means – yes, for a change, I’m not using AI, unlike the rest of the website, to create music. I’m indeed creating music with my own two hands.
